Progress takes shape, step by step.
When does a language start to feel more familiar? What helps you use what you’ve learnt when the moment comes?
At Grow in Babel, we start with your goal and turn it into a learning journey with clear steps. Along the way, you have room to try and guidance to keep moving.

01
We find your starting point.
During your free introductory session, we talk about your experience with the language. We try a little practice to gain an initial picture of your level and hear what you’d like to achieve.
As lessons begin, we get to know how you learn. This helps us shape your learning plan.
02
We make your goal more specific.
“I want to speak better” means something different to everyone.
For you, it might be giving a presentation at work. Or feeling comfortable starting a conversation while travelling.
Together, we agree on what you want to achieve and plan the steps that will help. We discuss lesson frequency with you, taking your availability and your goal into account.
03
Every topic creates room for practice.
A story can lead us into past tenses. A workplace situation becomes a starting point for expressing ideas more clearly.
Through themed activities, we connect grammar and vocabulary with their use. You read, listen, speak and write, with attention to the skills you need most.
Your interests belong in the lesson. They give us reasons to have conversations where you have something of your own to say.
04
There’s room for another attempt.
Sometimes you’ll know what you want to say, but the words won’t come easily. That’s where we pause and work on it together.
Corrections explain what needs to change and help you apply it next time. You can ask questions and return to something you found difficult.
Gradually, things that once took a lot of thought begin to feel more natural.
05
Your journey continues in your personal learning space.
The platform brings our work together. You can find your materials, complete activities, submit assignments and read your personal feedback.
You can revisit earlier lessons and keep practising between sessions.
If online learning is new to you, we’ll guide you through using the platform.
We look at progress in two ways.
What you know
Structured assessments show what you’ve learnt and which areas need more attention.
What you can do
Practice in real-life situations shows how you use the language. Can you explain an idea? Follow a conversation and respond?
We use this picture to adjust the next steps in your learning plan.
The first step is small.
Choose the language you’re interested in and tell us a little about yourself.
For English, we’ll contact you to arrange your free 30-minute introductory session. For French and German, we’ll register your interest and let you know when lessons become available.
